Privacy Policy
Effective: May 23, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how WePub ("we", "us", "our"), operated at wepub.top, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect

- Content: Articles, drafts, and other content you create within the Service.
- Settings: Preferences and configuration you save, including encrypted API keys if you use the BYOK feature.
- Payment information: Subscription and billing data is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card numbers.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Cookies: We use only first-party cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your subscription and payments
- Communicate with you about service updates and changes
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond service-related communications.
4. AI Data Processing
When you use AI features (content generation, rewriting), the content you submit is sent to OpenRouter, which routes requests to third-party AI model providers. This is necessary to provide the AI functionality.
- We do not use your content to train AI models. Our agreement with OpenRouter prohibits use of API-submitted data for model training.
- If you use the BYOK feature, your content is sent through your own OpenRouter API key and is subject to your account terms with OpenRouter.
- AI-submitted content may be temporarily retained by the AI provider for abuse monitoring, in accordance with their policies.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate WePub. Each processes only the data necessary for its function:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| OAuth authentication | Name, email | |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, subscription status |
| OpenRouter | AI content processing | Article content submitted for AI operations |
| Vercel | Hosting and deployment | Access logs (IP, user agent) |
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. User API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. During the beta period, we do not guarantee long-term data retention.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and content from our servers. Some data may persist in backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
